<div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="color: black;">Fewer Americans are working full-time today than when Mr. Obama took office. <b>We have lost over 900,000 full-time jobs in the last four months alone</b>, and long-term unemployment is at a post-World War II high. The public's faith in his ability to deal with the economy has plunged. As Doyle McManus of the L.A. Times put it, "Can this president persuade voters to let him keep his job when so many have lost theirs?" Even Jimmy Carter didn't plumb the depths of national dissatisfaction revealed in the stunning Gallup poll taken Aug. 11-13. The president's approval rating was only 39% with a mere 26% approving of his handling of the economy....</span></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="color: black;"> </span><span style="color: black;">We lack a coherent and muscular economic strategy, as Mr. Obama and his staff seem almost completely focused on his re-election. He should be spending most of his time on the nitty-gritty of the job instead of on fund raisers, bus tours and visits to diners, which essentially are in service of his political interests. Increasingly his solutions seem to boil down to Vote for Me....</span></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="color: black;"> Mr. Zuckerman is chairman and editor in chief of U.S. News & World Report. </span></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="color: black;"> </span></span></div></div><div style="text-align: center;"><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="color: black;"> </span><a href="http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424053111903327904576526611297517664.html?mod=djemEditorialPage_t"><b>Click here for entire opinion.</b></a></span></div><span style="font-size: small;"> </span></div>Perry for Presidenthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09214396989893427983noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1046103699508420006.post-50658792192702419532011-08-22T10:38:00.010-04:002011-08-22T11:01:58.895-04:00The EPA’s giant green jobs-killer<div style="color: #cc0000; text-align: center;"><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="color: black;"><span style="font-size: small;">Wonderful! <span style="font-size: small;">By John Lott - FoxNews.com - </span><span style="font-size: small;">August 19, 2011</span></div><div style="color: black;"><span style="font-size: small;">With Texas Republican Governor Rick Perry officially entering the presidential race last week, liberals have started attacking Texas' economic record. <br />
Paul Krugman in the New York Times went first last Sunday. "So what you need to know is that the Texas miracle is a myth, and more broadly that Texan experience offers no useful lessons on how to restore national full employment," Krugman claimed. <br />
With the latest Gallup poll showing that just 26 percent of Americans approve of President Obama's performance on the economy, liberals have little choice but to try to distort what is happening in Texas.....</span></div><div style="color: black; text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: small;"><a href="http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2011/08/19/liberals-and-texas-unemployment-miracle/">Click here to read entire article.</a></span></div>Perry for Presidenthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09214396989893427983noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1046103699508420006.post-49593013612298221932011-08-20T12:34:00.007-04:002011-08-22T10:57:17.983-04:00Rick Perry's passion, impressive record in Texas making Dems nervous<div style="color: red; text-align: center;"><b>GOP hopeful Rick Perry's passion, impressive record in Texas making Dems nervous</b><br />
<span style="font-size: small;">By Andrea Tantaros - NY Daily News - August 18th 2011</span></div><div style="color: black;"><span style="font-size: small;">"Don't mess with Texas," the famous saying goes. And from the looks of it, the warning could well come to summarize the 2012 presidential campaign. Only days after officially jumping in the race for the White House, GOP candidate and Texas Gov. Rick Perry has rattled the usually cool President Obama, prompting him to go on the offensive and acknowledge his opponent, a very unusual move for a sitting President when the election is well over a year away.</span></div><div style="color: black;"><b><span style="font-size: small;">While the rest of the country is struggling, Perry has created a climate in Texas that is favorable to business and unfriendly to regulations and high taxes. Charles Rangel (D-N.Y.) have already leveled charges against Perry's record of job creation, absurdly claiming that most of the jobs he created "are one step away from slavery" because of their minimum-wage status....</span></div><div style="color: black; text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: small;"><a href="http://www.nydailynews.com/opinions/2011/08/18/2011-08-18_rick_perrys_passion_and_his_impressive_record_in_texas_are_making_obama_dems_ner.html">Click here to read entire opinion.</a></span></div>Perry for Presidenthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09214396989893427983noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1046103699508420006.post-10562655411235811452011-08-19T10:50:00.002-04:002011-08-22T10:57:47.045-04:00Backdoor illegal immigrant amnesty courtesy of Obama.Unemployment is how high right now, 9.1%, and this is the Obama administrations response?<br />
